Reports across the interweb today provide anecdotal testament that all is not tickety-boo with the PC version of Grand Theft Auto IV.

The newly released version for the format is beset will reliability issues apparently, Rockstar today assuring us that they are hard at work on a patch to fix things up.

"We are aware that a small number of fans are having problems running GTA IV on their PCs and we would like to assure them we are working to help solve these as quickly as possible," GTAgaming were told.

"We would ask anyone that is encountering difficulties to contact their local technical support helpline for advice and recommendations. These telephone numbers can be found in the game's manual.

"There is also a regularly updated technical support page available on the Rockstar Games website where there are many useful FAQs, and information on how to resolve some common problems being encountered."

Apparently, the title's visual settings are causing even ' l33t rigs' trouble, and there are also validation problems with the new GTA.

""We are aware that a small number of fans are having problems running GTA IV on their PCs and we would like to assure them we are working to help solve these as quickly as possible," GTAgaming were told." - Judging by the sheer number of complaints and issues I've seen and experienced it's way more than a small number of players.

What is this BS Rock*?Is this the same company that brought us GTA 1,2,3,San Andreas,Max Payne 1&2,Manhunt Etc.Rock* was my favorite until GTA IV for the PC.Worst Port Over Ever. What Pisses Me off the most is the "Social Club" & "Windows Live".I do not Appreciate being forced to have these in order to play a Game that I payed good money for.I do not want either one of these Pieces of crap running on My Machine, and gathering information.Good Job Rock*,You took a Great Game & turned it into a Giant Steaming Pile of Bull Shit with Your Terrible Port Over & Social Club & Windows Live.I Have a Quad Core,4gb of Dual Channel Ram & Top of the Line GeForce 9800 GTX+ & this game just brings it down.Rock* Had Plenty of time to Port it Over,Did anyone actually test the game before it was released?I Guess My GTA Days end with San Andreas,Which in My Opinion is One of the Best Games ever Made
